WotC_Rob spoke at a seminar and informally at Celebration IV, revealing many details about upcoming products are characters for Star Wars Minatures. Click Read More for the details...
The Force Unleashed is the next set and will be released in November 2007 despite the associated game being delayed until 2008. About 25% of the set will be characters from the game. It will be a huge set and will contain figures from all 10 factions.

The Hoth Battle Pack will be released at the end of 2007 as a Target exclusive. It will contain various figures to recreate the battle of Hoth including General Veers Hologram and Blizzard Scout One unique AT-ST. It will contain a new Hoth map that will link up to the Hoth plains map from the AT-AT set.

2008 will have 4 sets.

If A&E needs to be reprinted, it will be on standard circle bases.

The number of VRs per set is expected to go back to the typical 12 from the 14 in A&E.

Jedi and huges will be more aggressively priced in the future to make them more competetive.

The 2007 starter has Throne Room on the other side of the Korriban map.


Korriban may recieve different starting positions if it becomes DCI legal.

The following new characters were mentioned:

Hologram Veers (in Hoth pack)
Blizzard Scout One (unique AT-ST with super rapport for AT-ST making it cost 10 less. In Hoth pack)
Darth Revan (Sith version from before KOTOR game events)
Luke with Yoda in Backpack (in Force Unleashed)
Nomi Sunrider
Darth Talon
Cade Skywalker
Mouse Droid (Hinted to have ability similar to DDM Relay Orders and be Fringe)
Gotal Mercenary
Rebel Troop Carrier
Hoth Turret (Immobile, but can be placed outside the normal start area)
Luke Skywalker (More powerful than any previous version)
501st Trooper
Jar Jar Binks

Interessant dürfte das Hoth-Set werden mit einem neuen AT-ST und dem Veers Hologram, besonders aber durch die neue Map.
Wird wohl ähnlich aussehen wie das Endor-Pack.

The Star Wars Miniatures/RPG panel at Gencon included Jennifer Clarke-Wilkes (SWM Editor), Chris Perkins (SW Brand Manager), Rodney Thompson (SWRPG Designer) and Chris Galloher (LFL Representative). The absence of Rob Watkins was really felt, and not as many concrete answers were given as usual for such a seminar. But some new info did slip out.


There will only be 3 new sets in 2008 instead of the 4 mentioned previously:

Legacy of the Force
KOTOR themed set
Clone Wars TV series tie-in set

The Force Push power to be included in The Force Unleashed was revealed and it was stated the power would have "levels" but no details of what that meant were given. Force Unleashed will have 16 figures that tie in to the game, 14 of which have never appeared in SWM before.

The Galaxy Tiles will not contain the colored linework for Minis skirmish so won't be as useful for Minis as hoped.

Legacy of the Force will not add new factions for the far future era. Instead, it will mix the characters into the existing factions in creative ways.

Also für dir Force Unleashed Edition wird es keine neuen Fraktionen geben.
Mal sehen, wieviel sie wieder in die Rand-Fraktionen stecken und wieviel Figuren aus den Filmzeitaltern der Clone Kriege und der Rebellion stammen.
Ein Sebulba kann ja ganz lustig werden.
Diesmal kann er vielleicht Jar Jar Binks richtig erledigen, ohne das dieser noch von jemanden gehindert wird.

Eine Edition, bei der ich wohl nicht so sehr zuschlagen werde.

Soll wohl viel Yuzzan Vong und sonn Zeugs drin sein.

Für Fans der New Republik soll es einiges geben.

Naja Huge-Set mal wieder und dann Old Republik.
Da kann sich dann ja mein Geldbeutel erholen.
Obwohl irgendein Vader und nen Boba sind bestimmt wieder drin.

Hmm, lass mal überlegen.

Dafür wird das KotoR-Set wahrscheinlich mehr die alten Sith beinhalten
